Winter Concert Update

The countdown to the South High Spartan Band Winter Concert on December 15, 2010, 7 PM, at the James Armstrong Theatre continues!   South’s concert band, wind ensemble, jazz band and choir are feverishly preparing for an incredible night of musical entertainment.

Pre-Order Your Tickets Now Ticket Sale Flyer Winter Concert (click link to download form)

Monday, December 13, is the last opportunity to pre-order your tickets.  Sales have been good, but you need to hurry if you want to reserve your tickets.  Please make sure you get your orders in by Monday afternoon.  We will check the lockbox next to Mr. King’s office at the end of school Monday.  After that, tickets will be sold at the door the day of the concert.

If you are paying by check, please make your payment to: SHS Band Boosters.  Some checks have been made out to me by mistake.  Please avoid any confusion, and make checks out to SHS Band Boosters.

Concert Attire Reminder

I wanted to reiterate the concert attire policy for the Winter Concert.  Concert attire consists of tuxedos (supplied by the boosters) for the boys, and black knee-length dresses or skirts with black tops for the girls.  Boys must wear black dress shoes and socks that they supply.  NO BLACK ATHLETIC SHOES, e.g., like Converse or Vans!  Girls may wear black flats or heels.

Tuxedos will be distributed on Tuesday, December 14, after 6th period in the Band Room (R-1).  Please remind your student to go to the Band Room after 6th period to pickup their tuxedos.
